I would just like to say that I feel the Junction is the best place for my daughter. She has Down syndrome and Autism. Since going to the Junction in Stowmarket she has progressed in her communication and understanding. She is in a safe place with dedicated staff which puts my mind at rest.

[Name withheld] has been going to the junction approximately for the past six years now, both myself and my partner cannot stress enough the high regard we have of Cathy and her team (both past and present) and the way they have helped [Name withheld] to grow as a person. where most day services would have given up on [Name withheld] they have persevered and given her opportunities that would have been difficult for us as her parents to do for her.

Whilst my child attends The Junction it allows me to work and have some time to myself in the knowledge she is being looked after in a safe and stimulating environment.
The Junction provides her with a wide social experience amongst her peers where she can develop friendships and enjoy group activities and advance her social skills. I know of nowhere else quite like it.

Dear Greenacres staff,
I just want to say how very grateful I am to you all for the work that you’ve been doing with [Name withheld]. I had so many stresses and concerns regarding his transition from children’s services to adult service respite, worrying about whether he’d settle and, looking back I don’t know why I was there worried because he is so very happy and settled. That’s all thanks to you guys. I did not expect it to run so smoothly and that can only be down to the effort that you guys have made to welcome him and make him feel so at home within the service. Even the Transport staff feedback to me and tell me how happy he is to come into you guys after school, how he flies off the bus and couldn’t get in any quicker if he tried. That’s so lovely for me to hear and to know that he wants to be in with you. There’s no hesitation whatsoever. Since you have all been working with him, I have noticed a more confident [Name withheld] and a more independent [Name withheld]. He’s doing more things in the kitchen unaided and independently and has even started to communicate and express feelings via his Talk pad which is only since he began at Greenacres.
Please all know that you make such a valuable and important contribution to [Name withheld]’s development and life and that I am so very grateful to you for accepting and welcoming all that he is.

“My daughter started coming to Greenacres this year and has spent only a small amount of time transitioning to then spending a full week with the staff there.
[Name withheld] suffers with severe attachment and anxiety, and I can only say that everyone and everything there has made a huge impact on her.
[Name withheld] is happy and excited to go to Greenacres and presents as willing to grow and learn there. She adores all of the staff that are some of the most understanding, calm, patient and loving people we have come across in 18 years.
[Name withheld] never worries being there whether it is a day session or sleepover. She is pushed to the very best of her ability to be her amazing self which I love!

Hello Cathy and Team,
Just a big thank you from myself and [Name withheld], for the great work and patience you have shown and the help that the Junction has played in supporting [Name withheld] with her positive support plan.
In 2021, [Name withheld] was described by the intensive support team as in a chronic situation, with challenging behaviour, self-harming and varying reports of concerns from her support team.
We are now pleased to say that [Name withheld] is again a happy and content young lady and that the junction and staff have had, and continue to have, a significant impact. The improvement in her behaviours is huge, and this is because she can attend the Junction. Her bespoke and varied timetable with activities both in and outside has helped enormously. The junction staff are invaluable; she relies on them totally for support. Her social and communication skills have improved immensely as have her health and fitness. She has made friends and has learned the meaning of friendship.
The service offered at the junction has undeniably improved the quality of her life.
